Tidings & Trimmings - Christmas
Can't believe we are already thinking about Christmas. Created this car for Christmas in July using Tidings & Trimmings stamp set with coordinating dies Christmas Trimmings. These are sold individually or as a bundle (save 10%). Check out pricing at the end of the tutorial.
Soft Succulent card stock: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 4 1/4" for base. Piece of Scrap for tag die
Basic White card stock: two 4" x 5 1/4" (one for inside)
Cherry Cobbler card stock: piece for die cuts
Evening Evergreen card stock: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Inks: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler
Fold your base card in half, burnish fold with bone folder.
Take one piece of the white card stock. Here you are going to create your own design. Stamp the one image (I used the three leaf stamp) all over the entire piece (or at least mostly on the left side) full strength with Soft Succulent ink. With the second image (I used the two leaf stamp), first stamp off onto scrap paper and then stamp onto the white card stock between the first stamped images. It should give you a two toned look. You can stamp as little or as much as you want, however, more is not always better. Since these are photopolymer stamps, I like to use the Foam Mat underneath as it helps spread the ink better.
Next, take the stamp that looks that berries and stamp onto the Evening Evergreen piece using Evening Evergreen ink. In my sample I used Soft Succulent, so that is an option as well.
Adhere the Evergreen piece to the left side of the white card stock. Take a piece of Open Weave Evergreen ribbon and adhere to the seam on the back side. Then adhere the whole piece to the Soft Succulent card stock base.
Make the tag with the scrap of the Soft Succulent card stock. Using Tags die set, select the second largest one with the rounder top. Run the die through the Stampin Cut and Embossing Machine (the Mini will work here too) or any other die cutting machine. Also cut the berry shape from the die in the Trimmings die set.
On a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock stamp the stocking (I used the one that had the matching leaf design) with Versamark. Sprinkle white embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool. Cut the stocking design with the cutting machine.
Stamp the greeting on the bottom of the tag. Add the embossed stocking and top with a small bow with the same ribbon. Position the red berry piece onto the Evergreen side of the card wherever desired. Adhere the tag to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Finish with some Holiday Rhinestone embellishments - I usually use an odd number, generally three.
For the inside, stamp on the second piece of white card stock a sentiment for design to your liking. And don't forget to give your envelope some love ❤️ as well.
