Art Gallery - Easter Blessings
This card was created for a Spring Card Class but it is not limited to spring or Easter. Any sentiment will work here. I used the Fine Art Floral Suite with Stampin' Up.
To start, I cut off 1" of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I then folded on the score line and burnished with the bone folder. The shortened end will be the front of the card.
Take the white cardstock for the front and placed it in the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin Cut and Embossing Machine. Take the Flirty Flamingo ink, and with the Blending Brush, lightly go over the embossed cardstock to give some depth and dimension. Adhere this to the front of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin Seal +. Because of the embossing, you will want to make sure it is secured well. Another option is Tear & Tape.
To make the flower, it requires two step stamping. This means you will stamp with two different stamps on top of each other with coordinating colors. I used the Art Gallery Stamp set. This set comes as a bundle or suite, you can save with either. You will find more information below. With Petal Pink ink, stamp the larger floral solid piece on the paper. Because these are photopolymer stamps, I usually put a piercing mat underneath to help distribute the ink better. Next, I took the matching stamp and stamped over my flower, matching it up, in Flirty Flamingo ink. Now stamp the stem of the flower in Old Olive ink. Do not put the stem up against the flower as it will be too close when you die cut. Align the die cuts from the Floral Gallery Dies and run through the cutting machine. Adhere the flower and stem to the front of the card using Stampin Dimensionals. I intentionally laid the flower over the edge and I tucked the stamp under the flower.
For the sentiment, I stamped the Easter Blessings, in Old Olive ink, from Itty Bitty Greetings and used the die from the same set to cut it out. To finish it off, I added a few embellishments. I tend to add off numbers, usually three is enough.
For the inside, I adhered the strip of DSP to the right side of the white cardstock. I stamped a flower from the Art Gallery stamp set. The sentiment inside is from Springtime Joy, also stamped in Old Olive ink. I adhered the completed white inside to the Flirty Flamingo card base with glue.
This really was an easy card to make and so pretty. You can do this in many other colors as well. Don't forget to give your envelope some love to complete the look.
